Throwback Thursday: Medallion Earrings
Share
One of my favorite parts of designing jewelry is seeing how certain pieces stand the test of time, and the Medallion Earrings are a perfect example of that.
These earrings were first made in Bali in the late 1990s, crafted from hand-hammered bronze and finished with 18K gold-filled wire. The goal back then was simplicity. At the time, I was living in New York, and the trend was all about dainty, minimalist jewelry — small pieces that could be worn every day without feeling overdone.

Each pair is hand hammered, which gives it its own subtle texture
and makes every piece slightly different. That individuality is part of what I love most about them — no two pairs are exactly alike. Despite being one of my earliest designs, the Medallion Earrings have remained a customer favorite for years. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and easy to wear — almost like wearing nothing at all.
Because the wires are gold filled, they’re hypoallergenic, making them a good choice for anyone with sensitive ears. The simplicity of the design also makes them incredibly versatile — they can be worn on their own for a clean, understated look or paired with a statement necklace for balance.

These earrings have truly stood the test of time. They’re one of those classic designs that fit seamlessly into any jewelry collection and make a thoughtful gift for anyone who appreciates simple, timeless pieces.
